Curtis Road – Planning Approval
We’re pleased to confirm that our project on Curtis Road, Norwich, was unanimously approved at Planning Committee last week following its original submission in mid-2023, a determination period of nearly 2.5 years. The scheme was recommended for approval by officers, with committee consideration triggered by local objections.
The development will deliver seven semi-detached dwellings, comprising a mix of two- and three-bedroom homes, carefully tailored to the site’s unique characteristics and designed with a modern take on the traditional vernacular.
While approval is a positive outcome, the extended timeframe highlights the wider challenges facing the planning system. With the draft NPPF aiming to speed up decision-making and unlock housing delivery, this project stands as a clear example of why this would be welcome news.
